TEMAZCAL CEREMONY
EVERY MONDAY, 5:00 PM @Temazcal

One of the most ancient traditions from the Mexican and Mayan cultures still alive today is the Temazcal—an ancient steam ceremony used for centuries as a place for the community to come together to heal, detox, and pray for the Earth and their ancestors. Working with the alchemy of fire, volcanic stones, and water, participants enter a metaphorical womb and journey through four doors, or portals, that connect them to the elements and bring them back to the essence of self through songs, prayers, and offerings. Temazcal is a cosmic portal that purifies the body, mind, and spirit, leading to a process of release and renewal.
